15 Best Steven Seagal Movies of All Time

Steven Seagal made his first movie, Above the Law, in 1988. Following the success of this one, he continued to make quality feature films throughout the ’90s, establishing himself as an action hero. In fact, almost all of the best Steven Seagal movies are from this decade. Just to name a few: Hard to Kill (1990), Marked for Death (1990), Out for Justice (1991), Under Siege (1992), and the list goes on. Under Siege is the one that brought him mainstream success.

During the 2000s, he made over 20 movies, most of them being direct-to-video productions. His biggest success in this decade was Exit Wounds (2001), where his co-star was DMX. Besides that, there are a few other good ones, like Driven to Kill from 2009, but compared to the ’90s, this decade marked the decline for Steven Seagal (as was the case for many other action stars).

In 2010, he appeared as a villain in Robert Rodriguez’s Machete. Over the last decade, he continued to produce two or three movies every year, most of them being low-budget films.
