The success of the movie spawned two sequels The Hangover Part II in 2011 and The Hangover Part III in 2013. The film got a Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture and grossed over $467 million worldwide, becoming the second-highest-grossing R-rated comedy ever in the US.
